Welcome to La Cuisine de Verre (“The Glass Kitchen”), a pocket-size conservatory built in 1898 by Madame Colette Mirabelle, retired pastry poet and alleged basil whisperer. When her husband, Étienne, decided the proper place for a kitchen was “where the tomatoes are,” he refitted their cottage’s old greenhouse into this airy, plant-forward culinary lab.

This whole apartment diorama suite is inspired by the Jetsons’ optimistic 1960s future—rounded windows, brass pendants, sky-high views, and furniture that looks like it might hover if you just wink at it. From the glassy transport tube to the turquoise flying car in the garage, every scene leans into retro-futuristic, mid-century “Googie” charm.

Our fantasy spin borrows those clean cabinet profiles and measured symmetry, then leans playful—gilded accents, a theatrical hood line, and mural-soft wall stencils that nod to neoclassical motif without going full ballroom.
