I love Iris Apfel’s maximalism. Minimalism has never been my thing; I find it boring. Give me color, pattern, interesting objects, and a room that reveals something about the person who enjoys it. This maximalist miniature closet has all of that, plus a ceiling that clearly refused to be left out.
I loved Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood as a child. I wanted to live in that miniature world, and it helped shape my love of miniatures. There was something about seeing a whole neighborhood small enough to take in at once that made it feel possible to step inside. I still get that feeling when a little street has the right combination of color, detail, and somewhere inviting to go.
